Samsung Galaxy Core specs, pre-order and price in India

The Samsung Galaxy Core is the next smartphone in line to release, as far as we can see this handset will be released in India and the Galaxy Core price will be Rs 15,199, which is reasonable considering what it comes with specs wise.
This is a Dual SIM smartphone running the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, you can pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Core right now by visiting here and the price tag is attractive at only Rs 15,199 in India.

The main Samsung Galaxy Core specs include a 4.3-inch display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, it also comes with 8 GB of internal storage, 1.2 GHz dual core processor, 1 GB of RAM and microSD card slot for up to an additional 32 GB.
It also features a 5-megapixel camera on the rear and a VGA camera on the front, HSDPA 3.6 connectivity, built FM radio, 1800 mAh battery, WiFi, as well as Smart Stay, Best Shot, Smart Alert, Voice Unlock, S Voice and Motion UI.
It comes with other services such as Premium Hub, Cloud and ChatON. If you pre-order now you will be happy to know shipping starts on July 1. At the moment you can only pre-book the white version but the Samsung website states that the blue version is forthcoming.
Some of the specs above look like they have been borrowed from its other flagship models, and in that we mean the smart features. The Galaxy Core is a reasonable featured smartphone with a decent price tag.

Motorola Moto X Phone accessories starting to emerge

There has been a lot of interest in an upcoming phone that has variously been referred to as the Motorola X Phone, the Moto X and also the Google X. Recently we informed readers that Motorola has now confirmed this as the Moto X and the company also said that the phone would be released by October at the latest. We’re wondering if the phone might release quite a lot earlier though, as Moto X phone accessories have now started to emerge.
When rumors of this phone first emerged several months ago it was even speculated that this would be the Google Nexus 5 handset, although this idea was later dispelled. The Moto X still seems to be attracting attention however, and although nothing has been confirmed yet we have already seen several sets of leaked specs detailed, many of which differ.
The most recent specs leak that we have seen came from an often-reliable source though, and these included a 1.7GHz MSM8960 Pro dual-core processor, 720p HD display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, a 10-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. Along with these specs we also heard that the Moto X phone would run the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, but we must remind you that all of this is not yet confirmed. If accurate though, then the specs are decent enough, but we feel that many potential customers are hoping for a lot more.
For a while it almost seemed as though the phone was a figment of our imagination, but now it certainly seems as though the Moto X is on the way, considering that accessories are now on offer. A site called Skinomi is offering the Skinomi TechSkin Motorola Moto X Skin Protector at a price of $19.95, a Screen Protector for $11.95, Carbon Fiber Skin Protector at $19.95 and a Silver Carbon Fiber Skin Protector, also at $19.95.
All of the above are listed specifically as Motorola Moto X accessories and there are also further options such as the Skin Protector in Dark Wood, Light Wood, Brushed Steel and Brushed Aluminum, all priced at $19.95. It seems pretty early to be listing accessories for the Motorola Moto X if a release isn’t coming until October. Therefore we’re now pondering over whether we may see it much earlier than expected.
We’ll be following developments on the Motorola Moto X Phone with interest and will pass on more information about this upcoming smartphone as soon as we hear it. Sony Xperia SP specs vs iPhone 5 vs Galaxy S4

When looking to purchase a new smartphone if you haven’t got any brand loyalty there can be a bewildering choice of handsets available to purchase, and today we have a slightly different smartphone comparison for you as we are looking at the Sony Xperia SP specs vs iPhone 5 vs Galaxy S4.
This comparison may seem a little unfair as the Sony Xperia SP is not the flagship smartphone available from Sony, but the device has still been gaining a lot of interest from consumers as the company looks to build its reputation up in the smartphone world.
Display
The Sony features a 4.6-inch display at a resolution of 720 x 1280 with a pixel density of 319ppi, which compares to the iPhone 5 that uses a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 640 x 1136 and a 326ppi. Meanwhile the Samsung Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch Full HD display with a 441ppi.
Processor and RAM
The Galaxy S4 is powered by either a 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor or a 1.6GHz Exynos Octa-core processor depending on the region with 2GB of RAM, while the iPhone 5 uses the A6 dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM. The Xperia SP has the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro under the hood running at 1.7GHz with 1GB of RAM.
Storage
The Galaxy S4 comes with 16GB, 32GB, 64GB of storage that is expandable by a further 64GB and the SP has 8GB of internal that can be increased by up to 32GB. The Apple iPhone 5 comes with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB options that are not expandable.
Cameras
On the iPhone 5 you will find an 8-megapixel rear facing camera coupled with a 1.2-megapixel front facer, while the S4 uses a 13-megapixel on the rear with a 2-megapixel unit around the front. This compares to the Sony that has an 8-megapixel main camera paired with a VGA front facer.
Battery
Inside the iPhone 5 is a non-removable 1,440 mAh battery while the Galaxy S4 has a user removable 2,600 mAh unit, and the Xperia SP has a 2,370 mAh power pack.
Dimensions
The iPhone 5 measures 123.8mm x 58.6mm x 7.6 mm weighing 112grams compared to the Galaxy S4 at 136.6mm x 69.8mm x 7.9 mm and 130grams, while the Xperia SP comes in at 130.6mm x 67.1mm x 9.98 mm and 155grams.

Micromax x336 resurfaces after Canvas 4 trend

Since the details of the Canvas 4 and specs surfaced it seems the Micromax x336 is becoming a trend again, people are starting to search for the x336 mobile phone and we do not understand why.
Micromax has released many mobile phones over the year, and its latest creation called the Canvas 4 with HD full display smartphone has gained the attention of millions.
The Canvas 4 is expected be between Rs. 15,990 – 20,000, so why are consumers searching for the Micromax x336? Confusing to say the least considering this old phone is only priced at around Rs 2275.
The Micromax X336 dual SIM 3.2-inch touchscreen phone features a mere 260MHz processor, resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, and comes with the basics such as a 0.3MP camera, FM radio with recording, WAP, GPRS and Bluetooth, as well as a video and music player, other than these specs there is not much more to add.
The Micromax Canvas 4 specs are said to include a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, 2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash as well as autofocus, smile and face detection and image stabilization, it also has a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera. According to BGR India the Canvas 4 will also boast 8GB of internal storage, PowerVR Series 5XT graphics, 3000mAh battery, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, 3G, Wi-Fi, dual-SIM card slots and apparently will run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
The specs for both devices are totally different, the design does not look the same, but for some reason the X336 is getting a lot of attention of late.
HomeShop 18 normally sells the X336 for Rs. 1999, but at the moment they are out of stock, you can still purchase via SnapDeal for Rs 2275 or FlipKart at Rs. 2299.

Gionee CTRL V4 quad-core, 4.2.2 phone price for India

At Phones Review we are grateful for the support of our many readers in India, and today we have news of a new smartphone heading your way. The Gionee CTRL V4 is a quad-core device running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and we have further details of the phone and its price for you.
Gionee is a Chinese phone manufacturer and the CTRL V4 has just been launched for India. It has a 1.2GHz Cortex A7 quad-core processor, PowerVR Series5XT graphics, a 4.5-inch display with 854 x 480 resolution, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD by another 32GB.
The CTRL V4 also has a 5-megapixel rear camera, with a VGA front-facing camera, a 1800 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G, FM radio and GPS. It’s a dual-SIM phone and other additions are an E-Compass, digital compass, proximity sensor, and G-sensor and it also has the YamahaPA 168 digital sound system.

World’s biggest free word search puzzle game

A new game was released last week and it has been regarded as the best in class on all platforms, today we can share with you the stunning and addictive “World’s Biggest Word Search” app by AppyNation Ltd.
This new word search puzzle mobile game is by none other than those that created MicroMachines 2, this is a word game well worth installing.

Some say this game can take around 40 hours to complete, but we would say longer, main features include 5,000 words that you will have to find, you will have to collect 45 prestigious trophies, complete all 57 quests and you will also have to finish each of the 361 themed sections.
The player will also have to get all 10 achievements, and will in time find 60 words of the secret message that is within.
This game is said to challenge the world record for the largest wordsearch puzzle ever published, you must complete all challenges etc to move on, can you do it?
The developers of ‘World’s Biggest Word Search’ also created Top Gear Stunt School Revolution and Mashed, and yet again they have created a game well worth playing. We here at Phones Review loves the art whilst playing the game, it is addictive to say the least, especially when you have to find secret words.
Loads of players have already said this game is fantastic, but you do get a few that do not like the game at all. One player that installed the World’s biggest free word search puzzle said that this is not a big word search game, it is merely a game with a few hundred small ones with an index in the shape of a grid. The same commenter did go on to say it is nicely monetized though.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Ultra combines Mini, Active and Zoom

Over the last few weeks we have seen Samsung launching a few different versions of the Galaxy S4 that provide options for various needs, and now we have the Samsung Galaxy S4 Ultra design for you that combines the Mini, Active, and Zoom all into one device.
We get to see a number of clever concept phone ideas from a number of talented designers, and the one we have today is the work of Bob Freking who was recently responsible for a Galaxy S5 video. The concept smartphone brings together all the best bits of the S4 range as well as the recently leaked Snapdragon 800 powered Galaxy S4 that appeared.
Other specifications of the handset include a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display powered by that Snapdragon processor along with 2GB of RAM, an Adreno 330 GPU for graphics, LTE Advanced connectivity, and a 16-megapixel rear facing camera.
This camera would feature the same 10x optical zoom that is on the official device from Samsung along with a Xenon flash, and the dust and waterproofing found on the S4 Active as wells the Aqua shooting software.
