Nexus 4 AOKP 4.2.1 Jelly Bean ROM Build 1 available

Although Google and LG have come under fire for not supplying anywhere enough of the phenomenally in-demand Nexus 4 smartphone, it has to be said that this shouldn’t reflect badly on the phone itself as it is mightily impressive at a very affordable cost. Many of you who have managed to obtain the Nexus 4 will be Android enthusiasts keen on customizing their devices and with this in mind we thought we’d bring you news of the AOKP 4.2.1 Jelly Bean custom ROM Build 1, which is now available.
The AOKP Android 4.2.1 Build 1 Jelly Bean custom ROM detailed here is for the Nexus 4 only and offers a plethora of new features and improvements. Just some of the list include General UI enhancements such as custom boot animation, custom carrier label, notification background, status bar brightness slider and power menu options. For the Lockscreen this ROM brings customizable text color and volume wake and music controls while changes to the Navigation Bar include fully customizable NavBar, menu arrow keys while typing and customizable NavBar Ring. The statusbar, LED control, custom vibrations, sound settings, themes support and NFC polling modes also benefit from the ROM.
If you wish to install this custom ROM you need to first have a Nexus 4 that’s been rooted and also have ClockworkMod recovery installed but before you even think about it we will give readers our usual caution.
