At Phones Review we like to try to bring readers details of new, useful or popular apps that are creating a certain amount of attention and one of those right now is the Sunrise app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The Sunrise Calendar iOS app comes from Sunrise Atelier Inc., and is a free productivity app that seems to be earning a lot of praise in its early days of use.
Only a few days ago we told readers about the Tempo Smart Calendar app for iOS devices, which has a reservation system for those who want to get hold of it. Fortunately the Sunrise Calendar app has no such reservation system meaning you can head to the App Store and use it straight away! The Sunrise Calendar app may have a simple look about it but incorporates data from Facebook, Google Calendar, LinkedIn and more to make a really useful tool.
The designers of the Sunrise Calendar are ex-Foursquare creators and the iOS app only arrived a few days ago and could end up being the best Calendar app you’ve ever used. We’ve taken an brief initial look at the app to see what all the fuss is about and already we can see this looks like a real winner with a really good interface.
For now it’s only compatible with Google Calendar and features include a completely revamped calendar for your iPhone, real-time synchronization, ability to quick add events, reminders, time zone support, integration with Facebook birthdays and events, enabling the user to see people’s faces from LinkedIn, location-based weather forecasts and much more.
It’s a free app compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd, 4th and 5th generation and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later and is optimized for iPhone 5 and you can check it out or download it from iTunes here. The Sunrise Calendar app is not yet available for the Android platform.
