The unveiling of the new handset from Samsung later tonight is not the only new smartphone making its debut today, as we now have the official Lava XOLO X1000 specs and price with the new handset setting off a super debate.
A few days ago we heard that the company were planning an event today in India to showcase what it was calling the fastest smartphone in the world ever, and the company has now revealed the XOLO X1000.
At the time it was wondered if the handset would come with the Intel Clover Trail+ processor, but the company has revealed it will use an Intel Medfield processor instead. The handset is coming with a 4.7-inch 720p touch screen display that is powered by the Intel Atom Z2480 processor that is clocked at an impressive 2GHz, which is coupled with a PowerVR SGX540 GPU for the graphics.
The display of the handset has been supplied by Sharp and features a 2.5D edge to edge glass, and other specifications include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage that is expandable further via microSD card up to 32GB, and camera wise there is an 8-megapixel shooter on the back capable of Full HD video capture, while around the front is a 1.3-megapixel unit.
What is surprising though is the fact the handset will ship running the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, and the device has a 1,900 mAh battery supplying the juice to a handset that measures 67.6mm x 133.9mm x 9.1mm weighing 140 grams.
The handset is already available from online retailer Flipkart and priced at RS. 19,999 with delivery in around seven business days. We wondered though what you our readers thought about the specifications of the Lava XOLO X1000 and wanted you to start the debate off.
