When the HTC One had its own special unveiling at a showcase event there was no word of the handset making its way to US carrier Verizon Wireless, while all of the other major carriers in the country confirmed they will be carrying the device. Now though the Verizon HTC One imminent availability evidence is increasing.
Yesterday we heard that the handset was coming to the carrier but could be a couple of months away from being available, but now though a leaked document that is supposedly from Walmart is suggesting the handset will be available this month.
The document states that the HTC One will be replacing the HTC Droid DNA sometime this month, while the DNA was the first Full HD smartphone launched by the carrier back in November. This allegedly leaked document shows information about rival carriers such as AT&T and Sprint, which includes the handsets the HTC One will be replacing.
What is interesting though as there is no mention of the T-Mobile model of the HTC One, so if this document is the real deal the retailer may have just simply mixed it up with the Verizon model, although the Droid DNA is a Verizon handset.
It also seems strange that Verizon and HTC didn’t reveal the handset last month unless talks between the two companies was still ongoing, which could have been down to the fact Verizon likes to have its branding all over smartphones.
Despite some regions seeing delays with stock availability of the HTC One it is thought that the US isn’t affected by this so it could easily be available pretty soon.
Do you think the HTC One will release on Verizon shortly?
