The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (Note II) is one of the most popular smartphones at present and its release has been rolled out in different regions for several months now. Yesterday we told how the Galaxy Note 2 on Verizon was being shipped and should start to arrive with customers from today, Thursday November 29th. The Galaxy Note 2 took its time to come to Verizon but at last the first lucky customers should now be taking delivery of their prized new phones and we’d like to hear your impressions.
Previously we told how some Verizon customers who had pre-ordered the Galaxy Note 2 had received emails from Big Red to say their delivery would arrive today while others had also received Verizon emails giving them an arrival date on Friday 30th. This was a little odd as the Galaxy Note 2 on Verizon was also going to be available in-store from today. This means that some customers who pre-ordered may end up getting their phones a day or so later than those who didn’t and who just chose to purchase on the day of general store availability.
We had comments to our previous post from waiting Verizon customers, some who were pleased that they had received emails saying they would receive their phones today, while others said they’d pre-ordered but had received no emails about an arrival date at all. Hopefully plenty of you will have received the first wave of deliveries by now though and that’s where you, the readers, come in.
After the long wait for this hugely notable smartphone we’d really like to hear your first impressions. We included the Galaxy Note 2 in our list of best smartphone picks for the holidays and as a short recap on specs it has a 1.6GHz Exynos quad-core Cortex-A9 processor, humungous 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display at 267ppi and 1280 x 720 resolution, 2GB of RAM and 16, 32 or 64GB internal storage options, expandable via microSD up to 64GB. It also touts an 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capture as well as a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, an S Pen stylus and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The Galaxy Note 2 has received widespread praise following the success of the original Galaxy Note that set a trend for larger phone displays and we’d like to know your first thoughts if you finally have it in your hands. Have you found anything disappointing so far or is the Note 2 every bit as good as you’d hoped for? What for you are the best features of this phablet style of handset? Maybe you pre-ordered and received yours today or are still waiting patiently, or not so patiently to find out when yours will finally arrive? Let us know with your comments.
